The Centre for Access to Services in English (CASE) was incorporated in April 2017 as a not-for-profit community organization with a mission to support the English-speaking community of the Mauricie Centre-du-Quebec.

The development of a community organization in this region was a result of two focus groups that were held in Drummondville and Trois-Rivières in 2011 to assess whether or not the English community was interested in creating a health network. A project was then initiated in 2015 by the Centre integer de Santé et Services sociaux de la Mauricie et du Centre-du-Québec (CIUSSS-MCQ) and supported by the Megantic Community Development Corporation (MCDC) to improve access to health care services which led to the eventual creation of CASE. The CASE team including staff, board of directors and volunteers take our role seriously in being a resource, a voice and a support to community members.

By providing referrals, healthcare system navigation assistance, liaison services and occasional translation help, we work to make health and social services more accessible to English-speakers.
